PESC 2008 Preview
Tuesday, 3 June 2008, 6:30 PM
Discovery Learning Center, CU Boulder
The Power Electronics Specialists Conference (PESC) has long been the leading conference for researchers to present their latest work. PESC 2008 will be held 15-19 June 2008 on the island of Rhodes, Greece.
This meeting will be a dress rehearsal for several of the students that will be presenting papers at PESC 2008. For the students, this will be a chance to practice their presentations in front of a live audience. For the attendees, this will be a chance to hear about some leading edge research before anyone else. But mostly, we are doing this to help the students. So reserve the evening of 3 June to come down to CU, listen to some interesting presentations, and help the students by providing feedback and comments on how they did as a presenter and how they could improve their presentations. Help make sure that the attendees of PESC 2008 leave the conference thinking "Those folks from Colorado were great!"!
The presentations and speakers will be:
- Series Input Modular Architecture For Driving Multiple LEDs, Jim Patterson
- Quantization Effects And Limit Cycling in Digitally Controlled Singe-Phase PFC Rectifiers, Barry Mather
- Quantization Noise Shaping In Digital PWM Converters, Mark Norris
- Adaptive Tuning of Digitally Controlled Switched Mode Power Supplies Based On Desired Phase Margin, Jeff Morroni
